Walls

Room acoustics optimized by TOPAKUSTIK® - Walls, the underestimated component!

In small rooms the walls play a subordinate role regarding the room acoustics. Only in slightly larger rooms the lateral walls pose to be important reflection surfaces to supply the audience in the back.

Wall shapes that are intended to support these reflection directions are to be designed analogous to the ceiling. The wall behind the speaker should be sound-reflecting, in order to guarantee early reflections that support the direct sound. The distance to the position of the speaker should be less than approximately 2 m if possible. The back wall can be preferably used for the required sound absorption measures.
